Little White Lies Magazine Cover Evaluation JB
This magazine cover is incredibly simple. The magazine itself 'Little White Lies' has a target audience of fairly upper middle class adults aged maybe 24+ and because of this the magazine is very classy and swish. This particular cover only contains a Main image, the Masthead, a small tagline / catchphrase and the necessary barcode, dateline and cover price. The Masthead contains the title of the film in a small white circle to make it stand out against the main image. The tagline / catchphrase says 'Truth and Movies', explaining what the magazine is about and a bit of what it contains. Both the tagline and the Masthead are exactly the same for each magazine issue which helps people recognise the magazine. The way in which the masthead, the dateline, price, barcode and the tagline are all contains in one sticker like circle makes it more stylised and simplistic and individual. The Main image is usually an actor from the film drawn in the same style. In this case it's a picture of Kristen Stewart drawn to portray her in her film 'On the Road' which is written on a roll up cigarette. The way that the main image is drawn as an art work it makes the magazine more stylised.
