Location

This alleyway is in soho, off Wardour street. I think this location would look good when at night as the lamps would provide some good lighting for the actors and it will give the urban city feel.

Props & Costume

There wont be a need for many props. The first ones we will need is a desk and a computer set up, so a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a computer. We will also need a weapon of some sort for the detective to kill the first villain with. This could either be a baseball bat or a knife or something else that can be used to knock someone out or kill someone. There wont be a need for any other props except maybe a briefcase for the detective to hold the following morning and a CCTV camera, which we could find in an alleyway anyway.
So the props I will need are-
1. Computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard.
2. Baseball bat / Knife.
3. Briefcase.
4. CCTV camera.

The costume I will need is a little more complicated. For the detective I need a trench coat, a suit and a trilby hat. The villain will also have a suit, with very shiny black shoes and a bright yellow tie. The girl will have a plain dress black or grey and a coat which is also black or grey, she will then wear very bright red lipstick.
So the costume i need is -
1. Two pin striped or any other grey / black suits
2. Trench coat
3. Trilby hat
4. Shiny black shoes
5. Bright yellow tie
6. Plain black dress
7. Plain black coat (girl)
8. Bright red lipstick

Narrative

The two minute thriller opening will start with the detective walking along the streets at night, following a girl. He follows her for a while, as she is looking back and knows she's being followed and then into an alleyway of a bar. Here they meet. He grabs her and pushes her against a wall, he asks where "he" is. She smiles and says he's everywhere. She looks up to a video camera and then the camera cuts to the villain in a darkened room on a laptop or computer watching the cctv of this scene. Then cuts back to the alleyway scene where the detective looks up to the cctv camera and back at the girl. He lets go of her and she whispers something in her ear. He walks off and she watches him walk off as she smiles. Cut to the detective running along the streets at night dodging people or things. Cut to the villain on computers typing something in. He is snorting to himself and keeps looking around. Then back to the detective and the camera keeps cutting in between the two of them. Then the detective looks up at the building where the villain supposedly is and walk into the door. Then cut back to the villain typing and looking around, eventually you see the detective in the background. The villain carries on typing and then from a shot through the door frame you see the detective walk slowly towards the villain and raise a weapon of some sort. You then turn to the perspective of the villain and you turn very quickly from the screen of the computer around to the detective and then the detective hits the villain after saying "game over" and the camera blacks out as the title sequence and music comes in. Then some sped up filming of walking through the streets of London as the music and credits roll through and as the music finishes it could pan round the detective (whom we've seen the perspective of walking through London) looking up at a tall building and at the end walking into it. This last part will be shot in the morning, possibly the morning after the death of the villain. This narrative sets up the story. The villain at the beginning was just not a big villain and the detective later in the film will go on to kill the boss of the whole bad guy cooperation. The girl keeps appearing and eventually the detective will save her from the things she got herself mixed up in.

Actors and Characters

Actors
I will have two main actors and one side actor. The two main actors will play the detective and the villain, the side actor will be the girlfriend of the villain who looks for a way out through the detective.
The actor playing the detective will be Leo Dutton. He looks tall and well built much like the detective would be. He has quite a young voice but with not much dialogue it wont matter. He will be good for the part because his look could go with that of a detective if he wears a suit, long coat and hat.

The actor playing the villain will be Joe Hill.
However you don't see his face or hear his voice as he sounds and looks quite young. I will shoot all scenes with him in shadows so you don't see his face fully. I will use a different voice for the villain which will be added later.

The actor playing the girlfriend of the villain will be a girl who has that "sexy" feel, who is a bad girl but she is looking for a way out and you can tell she isn't completely a villain.
At the moment the actor i'm thinking of playing this role is Morgan Macgregor.
As she has really light blonde hair which i think will be powerful with red lipstick as her hair and her lipstick will stick out from the plain dress or costume i will put her in.

Characters
The first main character is the detective. He will wear a suit and a long trench coat much like rorschach from watchmen, he will also wear a hat like a trilby, again like rorschach. He will be a cop but not by law and he doesn't quite abide by the laws, not that you would see much of this in the opening two minutes. He is easily seduced by this girl character who is perhaps the girlfriend of the villain. He wants to help her out of the mess she got herself into, however the villain will try and take her back and stop the detective from stealing her and killing him. The second main character is the villain, he will wear a suit with a bright yellow tie, this colour will be brought out massively when in the editing process. The rest of his costume can be just a plain black or grey suit and shiny black shoes. In most of the scenes he will be sitting at a desk in the dark, as you don't see his face, either drinking or smoking. You see everyone else in the scene but him. He is a villain and what he does in the business could be vague but you can tell he is very rich and powerful, he could own a bar or a club, which would be hard to do as i would have to find someone who owns a bar. He could also be in the gambling business or drug smuggling. The last character i will use is a girl for a side role. The girl will be the girlfriend of the villain and will want to escape via the detective. She will work for the villain and in one of the first shots you see her doing business with the villain. Later on she will meet the detective and he will be easily seduced by her and she will later convince him to get her out of her mess. She will also wear something bright, like a red scarf or bright red lipstick, which will stand out much more after editing, the rest of her outfit can be grey or black.
The picture to the left will be the end result i will be looking for, for the girlfriend of the villain. She will be sexy looking and look bad but not completely. The red lipstick will be highlighted in the editing, or red scarf / dress. This will be the same with the yellow tie of the villain and the of the detective
